Over the past two years, the Geospatial Centroid has moved, grown and emerged as a comprehensive service center within the CSU Libraries that provides geospatial technical expertise to the campus community and beyond. In this seminar, Centroid staff will discuss the power of geospatial technologies and present an overview of past and current projects, describe how the Centroid engages with the campus community, and discuss future opportunities for collaboration.
With new office space, new hires, and a diverse set of technical skills, the Centroid is well poised to
collaborate with researchers to advance their work through web mapping applications, complex spatial
analyses, and elegant cartographic products. Examples will be shared for how geospatial technologies
could provide insight in the realm of history.
